Correct. It was 1954 Al Keller won on the Linden airstrip in New York. It was a NASCAR sanctioned race & quite a few NASCAR regulars where in the race

I thought it was an airport but wasn't sure. When I got home and looked it up I saw that it was also the first road course event.
