I am working on a 68 superbee and somewhere along the line someone installed a 2881489 rear diff. Not correct for the year and model however, it will work. I am at the point of installing rear shoes and drums and the old shoes are 11 inch, 2 inches wide. I pitched the drums a year or so ago.

I noticed 73 Furry 3 have a 2 inch and a 2 1/2 wide version and thinking I am in the ballpark especially with the 489 housing. Can I positively ID the backing plates and if originally with 2 inch can I switch out with C body 2 1/2?
