C'mon spring!! But not to fast, don't want the flooding!!

I went to my storage units yesterday, and I have a lake in the big one. About 4" deep. :( Gonna have to talk with the owner about getting a discount due to flooding. On a positive, I drove around the building and there isn't much snow left to melt. I should bring my pump over and drain it. Still have ice under it though, but that'll be liquid in a day or two. Sucks big time, it forces me to figure out some alternative, and I've been told only one car at the house at a time. She has all her yard decorations, why can't I? :D

Sorry to hear about water! No damages, right? Just tires rims sitting in slush?

No direct damage, but I thought they'd be dry.

He mentioned that it might get wet by one wall, but not the adjacent side, and the water goes a the way under the cars. And they gray car is still frozen to the ice. I'll deal with it tomorrow.

All that liquid has to go somewhere....too bad it had to go in your garage.

To make matters a little worse, since Laura parked the fifth wheel in the front of the driveway, the back never got plowed. So the home garage has some slight melting coming in also. Nothing terrible, but it didn't make me feel any better.

You better have a boat on standby

I feel Scott's pain!! My shop floor drain froze out in the yard someplace as the frost went down and then the rapid melt allowed water seepage under the overhead and entrance doors. Thank goodness no damage! I spent two days with a small pump, abt 100' of garden hose and two large fans to get it dried out. I just turned the heat back up to 50 this morning, so it wouldn't turn into a sauna. It's all good now, but I lost a few days working on the Polara. Glad I keep all the parts etc on racks or upstairs.

After I posted about using the pump, I remembered I don't have any power there. Maybe the owner has one next door.

They sell those little water puppy's that run off a 12 volt battery and use a standard garden hose hook up. They really move the water. I had one at work for draining the municipal pool valve pit and fire hydrants.
