I am a big fan from the old mopars, and I am the owner from a huge 1971 Dodge Monaco Station Wagon. It was from my father, who passed away in 2009. He kept this old Monaco under garage for more than 34 years.
After he passed away, I decided to return this car to the street, and I have been restoring since 2014, because my dad wanted to restore it "some day", but he never had a chance.
I remember that he refused to sell this car, everytime he got an offer.. so I am into the same position...
This Monaco is an special "Mexican" version: 318 4BBL with 275hp (Almost 340 levels) because it has flat top pistons and 340 heads from factory. It has 3rd seat row, and no A/C

And there are some pics from March 2014, when I went to pick up the car, to my aunt's house, where the car was parked for 34 years...

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! Great wagon you have there, I can understand why your father held on to it and good for you for honoring him in this way.

Hey all, Thank you for your comments. I'll try to share what I learned during the restoration process of this car. Have a great day!

Belated welcome @Strangelo -- first time I have seen this thread. Do you have more pics of your 1971 Monaco wagon in Mexico?

PS: is your car's paint color GY4 or BL1? It would be great to see the fender tag.

PPS: some interior shots would be great, too!
