You nailed it. I was building a NICE 74 B200 van. I was intending to put the overdrive manual in it...that pilot bushing/input shaft put the whole project on hold...I was 2000 miles away and trusted people I shouldn't have trusted. Live and burn.It's a super big deal if you have a manual trans car and there's no pilot bushing at the back of the crank. There's ways around that, but extra work. I vaguely remember that you have to cut off the front of the input shaft and install an insert bearing at the rear of the automatic crank.
Now that it's running I guess you can drive it onto the trailer and wait on repair.
