I think that is really true. If you look at used car prices these days, you can't buy a decent used car for the same price as you can buy a nice C body.
My thinking exactly John on not just C-bodyz but D,D.s az well. I can still cross the country without a GPS and don't need or want all the latest bells 'n whistles. Hell I can even parallel park ah C-Body when needed. Just heat in the cold monthz and A/C/ in the hot monthz. I even entertained serious thoughtz back in the mid '80s of buying portable parkin' lot size loadz of A-bodyz off the left coast, bringing 'um back to the rust belt and tweaking and fixing what needz fixing what needz to be fixed and sellin' 'um to the factory ratz but noooo. Hey, My D.D. back then waz ah '63 valiant /6 V200 that I put an electronic ignition and under dash A/C in and drove for 5 1/2 years at an acquisition cost of ah whole $225. The mentality in the factories then and still today iz that they'd rather lease the latest quad cab every other year that retailz for over $50K+ and swap 'um for ah new one at the end of the lease plus pay the mileage over chargez before the acid rain eatz the clear coat off. My current D.D. iz an '87 LeBaron Turbo Coupe with 78K on the clock that's good for 32 MPG in the city that I found and bought in Anaheim, Ca. in October of '14 for $1350.00. With transportation chargez all the way across the country to the other coast+ ah few tweaks that it needed, I'm in it for less then $3500 and It will out live me with nothing more then normal P.M.s. If I wanna really make it "spiffy" I'll D.A. the roof, deck lid, and both quarterz and squirt some color and top coat on it, we'll see? For now every time I stop some where when out and about some one will walk up and ask if it's F/S, lol. Very Happy and still eating Black Angus steaks and washin' it down with Cabernet, lol
