While not Mopar, this is still pretty amazing.

I'm gonna hit around to fixing it some day...

All kidding aside, as found it's worth over a hundred thou.

That is cool as hell. It looks like a nice dry garage. Who would not love a GT 40? One of the greatest race cars ever. I would probably end up kill myself doing vintage car races, but I would have a smile on my face just moments before.

That is amazing .......!!!!!!! One of the finest motorcars to ever run on a race course. The suspension on those cars is sophisticated even by todays standards.

Absolutely love those but I wouldn't have a clue what to do with it.

I only see dollar signs. I love the way the hoarder built shelves around it to hold all of the junk off the car itself. Makes it a little bit skeptical. This was unveiled during one of those auto reality shows?

Mecum..........
Then buy the car of your dreams.
Or heaters for the shop.....

:icon_thumright: Exactly ......... One could buy a whole shop for the value of that car.
But it sure would be nice to just SAY ....... I owned a GT40.

They were truly race bred. It takes a very talented driver to handle a car like that.

Here is what I would do. I would take a summer off of work participating in vintage races from coast to coast. Then.sell on Mecum to pay for my summer of play and then buy my fleet of c-bodies.

Absolutely love those but I wouldn't have a clue what to do with it.

Let it rip early on a Sunday morning before anyone gets up. Stop, get a cup of coffee while your hands are still shaking, & get home before anyone is the wiser.

That's an awesome find! Would love to have it. I would even sell everything Mopar that I own to help fund the restore. Very cool and iconic car.

How many times did the Ford GT win the 24 Hours of Le Mans?

  • 4. Four consecutive years, 1966-67-68-69! After the 1967 race the International racing rules were changed, outlawing the big blocks. Ford withdrew from active racing after that. But the GT-40 wasn't done. The GT-40 Mirages (see Q5) were raced with the 289 engines and won again in 1968. In 1969 Ferrari and Porsche brought out the V-12 engines and entered a total of 20 cars at Le Mans trying to beat the Americans. The same five year old Mark I Mirage that had won in 1968 won again. The Ford GT-40 had proven beyond a shadow of doubt that it was the best racing car in the world.
