Haha. Back in 1976 my parents were shopping for a new car. A friend had a 289 AC Cobra, and wanted 6k for it. Of course that was a lot of money then, and would make a terrible family car. My Parents ended up paying a little more for a red Pacer. lol.
As far as a little Mopar content, a best friend bought a AAR Cuda for $1400 in 1983. White, slap stick automatic. I was in that thing constantly. The carpet was shot, so he pulled it out. The hood hinges were gone, so it had hood pins just on the front. At about 70-80mph the hood would start lifting up near the cowl. The passenger seat had one bolt on it, so when you would get on the car, the passenger would move all over the place. He called it the liar's chair, because after a fast ride everyone swore it was faster than it was. We were at a party one night, and the girl's parents came home early. Her dad was pretty mad and went straight to him trying to take his beer away. My friend said I'll just leave. The dad said *GOOD*. We got into the AAR parked on the outside of a circular driveway, with the nice small shrubbery everywhere. Then my friend pulled one of his patent 6k neutral slams and away we went. Straight across the yard, dirt/landscape flying everywhere. In a AAR. lol
