I wish I could add a three car garage onto my house, but it's spend the money on my cars, or the garage. Hopefully I can do both with a financial balancing act.

I just about slipped on the ice and cracked my skull a couple of times and we made a commitment to get an attached garage.

Sorry, just realized this is the slab side forum.
Repaired a freshly restored Thermoquad for a client. From day one he had problems with the carb, called the restorer many times being told its todays fuel etc. Sent it back on his dime, the builder tells him that nothing wrong. Carb owner gives up and brings to me, I know whats wrong, open carb and worse than I was expecting. Repaired bowl main wells with a thorough cleaner sanding and some seal-all adhesive. Some cleaning and adjustments, client is installing now.

What was wrong?
The well caps had fallen off completely, not just leaking.
This afternoon I am doing the selector shaft seal on the white 69 Charger. What a hassle dealing with the headers and 3 inch exhaust. Good thing I don't have catcher mitt hands.
This a fresh rebuild this spring. The trans shop messed up the seal bad and told customer its a new seal and he wasn't going to repair it, the shop also left the kick down arm loose and just sitting on the shaft. You can see in first pic.. Really sucks as I sent my client to the guy. I done with the lying C.

Good work and don’t beat yourself up for recommending that shop. THEY ARE THE ones who failed!
I assume the ATF wasn't re-cycled? Do you know how expensive ATF+4 is? I bought a jug at PartSource (aka Canada tire) - $75 - I had my pan off to get it power coated, put in new filter and gasket and that shaft seal (and the other rubber seal above it). I had the trans out so I could pull the seal out from the top. I assume you couldn't do that - not enough room or access ?
I got it done, just need to let pan gasket set up before torque, then its on to the header melted power cable to starter. Who does this crap. uuugghhh
What ATF are you using? Just curious.
ATF+4 or DEX/MERC
Swapped out rear bumper on the S23 and front valance.

Few weeks ago after I got the engine together on my wife's Buick, the brakes were warped from sitting. I took it to work to turn the rotors. The front's turned out great, the rear needed a little more attention. When I removed the caliper the pads fell off the steel backer, too much rust. Turned the rotors, new pads, lubed the caliper slides, and back on the road.
I cleaned it up and spit shined it, she's happy
It's been raining on and off since Friday so yesterday I did some needed work on my Colorado. Oil change and I heard the front brake warning tabs squeaking, I just replaced the pads and got the caliper slides free in the caliper brackets for now. To turn the front rotors, the wheel bearing has to be removed with the rotor, and the speed sensors usually don't survive the removal. I didn't have any sensors on hand so I will get some later and remove the assembly later to turn them. It's a captured rotor.

Last week was probably the ‘rock bottom’ of the remodel/addition effort as 1) we basically have had to get all of the siding replaced on the first floor, 2) the septic tank was located and was nothing more than a concrete pipe mounted vertically (and will be replaced), 3) drywallers pulled wiring through the wrong side of a wall and 4) I gave the incorrect dimensions of the soundbar for making a shelf for it in the sunroom.
Yesterday was much better.
1) we had the microwave/range hood replaced with a really nice Kitchenaide hood
2) had the bay window installed- it is not correct, but will allow the siding to be installed on that side of the house
3) had the existing septic tank pumped, in preparation of having it demolished and replaced
4) they started framing the transom window between the kitchen and sunroom. My wife gave me/us a birthday/anniversary gift of a stained glass window that showcases the clan crest of my lineage. Issue now is which way the glass should face - the kitchen or the sunroom? What a wonderful problem to have!
Today the HVAC unit for the existing part of the house will start being replaced.
Oh and the second to last picture is the original side of the house (built circa 1915) that had a Budweiser can nailed to it underneath the foam insulation. Lol
Yesterday was much better.

I was looking at pics on my phone the other day an found a few from two years ago with me cherry pickin the 440 out of the R/T. After a 2 year rebuild in between work & family, and with lots of help from the engine master @Xenon, we fired up the engine that left a very satisfied feeling of accomplishment and many thanks for all the help, guidance and the knowledge gained
over the last 24 months.
A neighbor a couple doors down from me came over, saying he could hear the car revving from his office. He stuck around for a while while we had the car running at the higher rpm's.
Tomorrow it'll go up on the lift for a new trans filter & fresh fluid and to check the shifter linkage one last time. If time allows, the hood & 2 grill inserts will go back on and then get it out for some hot laps around the area.

Pictures don’t really do it justice. Since this one is going to the East coast I think I’m going to have someone who knows what they’re doing take some professional studio setting pictures taken of this one.
