What are you working on today??

Pulled the engine a week ago, today pulled pistons and crankshaft. No 6 had low compression .
Found a piston ring broken and worn rod bearing, as well as worn no. 4 main bearing.
Next, the Block will be bored.

After weeks of frigid cold and highs of -20 (-4 degrees F for my US compatriots), things warmed up to 0! Feels so nice and the roads were clean and dry, so I went cruising in the NYB!

It was so nice to get my old car fix in February that it ought to hold me until the season really arrives!

Great day!

After replacing the TNT pie tin with the NOS tin purchasedfrom Tobias, I backed the New Yorker up to move it out of the way to make room in the shop for the next engine build.
After checking the fluids, the temp was 30° but the sun was still out, so I went for a spin.

Did an oil change on my 02 2500, and looked at a plow mount that I picked up that I will need to modify some to mount my plow off my 98 2500. I think I will start this project after spring has sprung.

We’re continuing with our forever home project. Painting the piano room, after patching all of the picture frame holes and grinding out old curtain rod mounts.

Things are converging beautifully!

Took a quick trip to Ace Hardware to get some more lump charcoal for my egg. Going to cook up a batch of Smoked Carnitas Green Chili. Also since it’s dry out I decided to knock the cobwebs out. And then start seeing if I can troubleshoot my engine analyzer while I am waiting to find the right Phototransistors for my exhaust analyzer.

Spent the day with Wyatt at his shop stripping what's left of the 70 Newport convertible.
Going back tomorrow to to bring some of the remains and the engine/trans back to my shop.
The temps were around 50° and it was sunny all day. Supposed to be warmer tomorrow.
