What did you do to your C-body today....

That was while it was still setting up, the wife says it looks considerably better today, waiting on pictures.

**edit- here we go...

Do you have the clip/bracket that goes here? If so, could you post a pic? I’m missing that on mine.

Everything I have for the trunk is shown in that picture lol. I have the spare wheel and tire, but no jack, nothing else.
Well, darn. I’m even missing the sticker that shows what’s there somehow. I think I’ve got everything else.

That's pretty much the whole kit (for 68 anyway .. doubt it changed much but who knows?) . Only thing missing is the stud that comes up through the spare, through the jack base that the wing nut goes on to hold all that down. I believe the little rectangular part with the two slots is what you're talkin bout.

After looking through some pics I found these of mine. My sticker has since fell off somehow.

Well, I got to thinking about my spare, jack, etc clunking around in the trunk. (See above) I came home from work and fabbed up the clamp I needed to fasten the jack down.

Seems like a couple of lock washers should do the trick - or are the bolts backing off with those installed too?
no, the gaskets just burn through like cbarges. could be the seal surfaces on the manifolds are pitted. i swear, this time i'm making my own gaskets. don't know how copper will hold up, but it won't burn through as easily as those steel lined fiber gaskets which for this particular car have proven to be worthless. and i drove the '65 to work again today!

First day out of the garage for the 300 today!

It's been a crappy spring and I've been busy with other projects around the house, like the new living room floor and a few others.

Washed it, applied some new shiny juice to the paint that I've wanted to try.

So far, this stuff is impressing me. I couldn't take a picture because it started to look like rain, so it chased the car and I back into the garage. It's supposed to cure for 8 hours. We'll see how it looks tomorrow.

After that, I adjusted the driver side window. Since I've owned this car, I've played with adjusting that window about 4 or 5 times. I had it right for a long time, but one of the rear adjustments came loose last year. I tightened it then, but it just wasn't right. This seems to be about the best I've had it, so we'll see what happens.

I took a pic of my car while waiting at a red light. I’m not in love, so don’t forget it..

My daughters prom is in a few days so decided to give the wagon a bit of a cleaning. Wish I could have done a bit more of a thorough cleaning, a good wax and polish would have been nice, but I hurt my elbow at work and only have one arm and the good arm has a bad wrist as well....:(

Anyway vacuumed and cleaned the interior and glass....

yesterday I installed the new / replacement power antenna switch I got from Murray’s.. works Great, the old antenna, the one i removed today DID work! Kinda! It went up and down, but VVVVEEERRRYY Slowly.. so said to myself, self! Since you have the inner fender well anyway I’ll just swap the Antenna out with the replacement.! Well that did go as I planed.. so I’ll leave it out and continue my search.. since the old antenna they go up and down, I may get adventurous and disassemble it and see why it’s working so slow. Might just need a good cleaning with new lubricant.

The OEM antenna is 16” from the antenna cable mount to the tip of the antenna rod, the replacement I have is 12” from the antenna cable mount to the tip.. and also as you can see plugs are different, but I believe that would be an easy fix.

The fender brace/bracket picture below prevents the shorter antenna mass from being mounted, I don’t wanna remove it, I’ll just look for the correct length in antenna.
