Dropped off the radiator for the 71 NYer for a recore.
Had a delivery from UPS for the new exhaust, and also received the 72 & 73 Parts manuals I saw listed for sale on this site. (Thanks @halifaxhops)

Fluid Technician with a hat
Got some of my bulbs installed. Now I have cornering lamps, and rear side marker lights. Lights in door panels not working, have a bad socket, and not sure about the other side. Still have plenty left to go over, I ordered 2 or 3 times the amount needed for one car, since I have three cars that might need the same bulbs. And it was cheeeeaaaaapppppp!

drove the '65 to work for the first time this year. fueled it for the first time since last november. 383 with desert gears scoots right along. fun being aggressive in traffic with the old car.

Had to replace the left side flange gasket on the BoaB.
Not fun with the HP manifolds. Just gratefull that I have access to a hoist on lunch at my work.
The flimsy one that came with the TTi system burned out. The flange bolts backed off enough to burn it out.
Replacement is much better quality with metal ring in it.

Thanks for the heads up on the flange gasket. I'll need to pick up the gaskets with the metal ring if the one provided in my TTI kit doesn't have them.

Took the Polara, also now known as "Ms Ruby" on a 10 mile round trip to the local Tuesday cruise night.
She was quite the lady, no shudders or groans, met some new friends, and didn't throw a fit when I backed her into the storage garage. Perhaps sitting out in last nights surprise thunder storms may have helped.

Do yourself a favor and ditch those gaskets....only a mater of time before that new one fails as well.
I switched to High Temp RTV for manifolds and head pipes and have not had any leaks since.
Red loc-tite will not withstand the temps of the exhaust, And if doing any type of lock nut make sure it's a stover nut.

I've had no issues with the gaskets provided with my tti exhaust systems, headers and manifolds.
I bought a 64 also hell of a deal on them!!!!!

have the same issue. o.e. gasket was steel shim? was thinking next time i'm going to cut my own gaskets out of copper flashing. and yeah, nylocks won't cut it.

Seems like a couple of lock washers should do the trick - or are the bolts backing off with those installed too?
