What did you do to your C-body today....

I cleaned the bugs off so I could reload on a little road trip tomorrow evening.

Well! Transmission shut the bed in Ginger. I lost reverse and noticed forward gears we’re starting to go. So she at the doctors office for patient care lol.

Question: I’ve started to notice a clunky / bell ringing type sound coming from the axle while in reverse. I don’t hear anything while in forward, or at HWY speeds, sounds normal. Just the clunky sounds in reverse..

PS. I did have, 2 weeks ago, the axle fluid changed just cause. My Mech said all looked good in there. Just dark old gear oil. But nothing that drew attention. He didn’t drive the car, just did what I asked him to do.

Thought????

Gutted the rest of the interior so I can put in new floor pans and braces. Had to cut the seat out so drill out the stubbs that were left. Put it back in its parking spot with a cooler as a seat

Decided to do the ammeter by-pass on the ‘66 300 today...after she died two times in the parking lot at work last night! I’m glad it didn’t die while traveling at highway speed, Hopefully this will add a little protection. I can see the ammeter gauge still working although it is much less dramatic in it’s travel distance. Thanks to everyone posting information on how to do this. It was actually very simple after I found the correct parts. I used red 10 gauge wire and a 14 gauge blue fusible link. Threaded the wire through the existing harness clips.

I like this kind of thread. Nothing exiting for me today but the drive to work and back. I did stop and take a few early morning pics at an old car dealership. One of these I put on my thread about my car, the other is an extra that didn’t turn out very good. That’s all I can contribute today!

Great looking car!

Get ready for the purists to make some derogatory comments. ;)

But remember it's yours and you can do what you want with it, there are few enough people enjoying these full size cars so anytime one is getting some love and being kept on the road, regardless of how (ie: paint, rims, interior, motor mods or swaps, etc) it is a good thing.
