Where to buy good Holley 2210

So carb isn’t worth rebuilding, JEGS remanned unit? I’m sorry I’m not trying to be lazy just smart as I’m not as familiar with carbs as I am fuel injection. Can you guys send some links or suggest some good places to buy a replacement 2210.

Choke had been converted using wire and a zip tie from electric to manual, plus a lot of the rest of the externals are shot. The plastic plate the idle air and set speed screws are held in place with is so warped that within 5 minutes of running they undo themselves so the car is screaming. My buddy who rebuilds cars saw it and from what rebuild kits we could find he figured a new unit would be a wiser investment.

With the 1973 or so 2245 chokes, the chokes were "electric assist", but still a divorced choke configuration. Not an electric choke that mounts on the rh side of the carb. 2245 is a 2210 configured for factory EGR.

Sounds like the PO did a deal on that carb. I personally like them for being better than the prior 2bbls that Chrysler used. Better throttle response and mpg, due to a better-evolved venturi design, from what I could tell. They DID have a few problem areas, though. NOT the ones you mentioned.

Thanks for the pictures. NEVER was an electric choke on that motor. There is a small clip that holds the choke thermostat rod to the pivot mechanism. Does the pull-off still hold vacuum, or does it leak? Does the choke plate hang on the carburetor body as it closes?

BEFORE you spend money on another carb, free-download a 1972 Chrysler (or Dodge or Plymouth, as that part of them will be the same) Factory Service Manual so you can see what is supposed to be there and how it all should work.

Where's the factory air cleaner? Just curioius.
