I feel the same way about any japanese or chinese products, including vehicles, that are built in the US.What about Japanese made in the U.S.?

It's not a question of quality but of supporting the american economy. Even though the product is built here... and some poor redneck gets a days pay..... the profits for that product go to support whatever foreign economy is homebase.
I will buy foreign products ONLY when I cannot find an American made equivelant. (Which happens all to often).
