What about Japanese made in the U.S.?
I feel the same way about any japanese or chinese products, including vehicles, that are built in the US.
It's not a question of quality but of supporting the american economy. Even though the product is built here... and some poor redneck gets a days pay..... the profits for that product go to support whatever foreign economy is homebase.
I will buy foreign products ONLY when I cannot find an American made equivelant. (Which happens all to often).

I agree with every word

I try to do that in almost every part except tires. When it comes to tires I want the best I can get for my purposes. On a head to head contest for my Focus, last month, I came to the conclusion that Kumho and Yokohama were the best for my car and driving style. No US tire in the top 4 in my scoring. Same with Toyo especially since Goodyear, Firestone or BF Goodrich no longer have WW. Between the Cooper, entry level 235/75, versus the more performance Toyo I have to go Toyo sine I don't screw around with tires and my safety. On the other hand my wife's car got General Altimax last month as the needs of her wagon are very different from my much sportier Focus. Altimax was #5 for the Focus.
