Who Reproduces Broadcast sheets?

Holy ****! That is the machine. In 1961, I took a six month course at a business school where I learned to wire and operate that machine and others (collators, sorters, summary punches, etc.) that are used to assemble and process IBM card decks / files. Afterward, I got a job at the Federal Bureau of Public Roads where I used to run a four thousand employee payroll (including bond purchases and annual / sick leave accruals) every two weeks, using those machines. The run through that IBM 407 consisted of nine trays of cards with three thousand cards in each tray. The machine ran at 100 cards per minute, so it took quite a while to complete the run. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. . .

When I pulled the back seat out to put in the new carpet that piece of paper made it to the trash...:BangHead:

Because I couldn't find the correct font, I made the correct one myself. Works really well!

At least, it's one correct font. It matches my 69 E-Series build sheet. But it seems every plant had their own font every year, because they are all a little different.

You beat me to it. I was gong to scan mine and pull it into AI and recreate all of them. The only problem is you have to cut and paste each character on the sheet. By the way that looks pretty darn accurate to me.

That's exactly what I did in Illustrator. I've copy/pasted it for Gary to try how it looks. And it looks pretty nice. But I'm goint to buy the "Fontself Maker plugin for Illustrator CC" to make a real otf-font out of it. This Plugin is pretty cool!
My long term plan is to add form fields in InDesign and make the Broadcast sheet a fillable PDF form with the correct font.

Have you ever used the form wizard in Acrobat? It maybe a whole lot less work than you think.

I have not. I haven't used Acrobat Pro a lot. I will check out the wizard, thanks! :)
Sounds like an automated tool to find the foem fields, and that would be very helpful! :)

Please try out the 1970 F-Series Broadcast Sheet as a fillable PDF Form. It's still with the wrong font (a chainprinter font I found online) because I'm still not happy with my selfmade correct font tho.

I think it's a pretty cool feature. You can type in your data and print it to put it in your car and keep the original one safe at home.

Hey Julian! Thanks a lot for all your efforts to put that form together. Do you think it would work for a '66 300 ?

Unfortunately the Braodcast Sheets of every model year are defferent. Even the 69 and 70 I made are very defferent due to different available options. And these are both Fusies. So both I have are not useful for you, sorry. :(

Julian: Thanks anyway for all your efforts.

Does anyone have a '65 Broadcast Sheet template? This is all that is left of mine:

It would be cool to have a reproduction to display.

I made a quick attempt this morning with the colored version of the form, but it didn't work. Did you do this with the wizard or the long way?

I don't know what the differences would be from 65/66 to 68, but I'm looking at doing a template for 68 so I can redo the one for the NYer.

Does someone have good images of a 65, 66, or 67?

If they are close enough it might not take to much effort to make them all once most of the template work is done though.

Good images will be required though.
