Window regulator motor doesn´t function anymore..

Ok, 1967 Chrysler New Yorker 2 door, driver side window. It worked fine 2 weeks ago. Now window is up, but won´t move anymore. At first I suspected the switch. But when bypassed, 12 volt directly from battery to windowmotor connector (the grey one in first picture), nothing at all.. Switched wires power and ground, but still nothing. No sound nothing. Are the wires going to the motor attached to the motor, or connented with a plug? I tried to pull it, but wouldn't come lose.
Worst case scenario, motor must come out?
Motor bolts hidden in door. So cutting holes? Or remove entire mechanism?

Drill the holes. It's much easier to remove just the motor and then you don't have to screw with the regulator.

I don't have a good pic but have seen it done on the front door. Just gotta find the 4 mounting bolts.

I just found this video about removing and installing the whole assembly. And bringing the motor back to life. Interesting and explanatory.

I've done it both ways and the easier way is to leave the regulator in the door. No adjustments and not have to worry about that spring that will take a finger off.

I haven't watched the video yet but fast forwarded through it. He's doing what I wanted to try next time the next time I have one apart. He's using a small zip tie to hold the brushes in place while assembled the armature into the bush holder.

If you go into the search button in the top right corner and type in "Power window motor repair" you will see that others have provided a diagram on how to drill the doors for the bolt access so you don't have to jerk around with the regulator, way easier. I just read it ,very helpfull. Will only remove the motor. Could not however find the diagram in the topics..

Found the bolts and got the motor out. Window stayed nicely up.
Funny thing is, on the bench the motor will run, in both directions. Maybe a bit slow. So now I got to figure out if it´s just too weak or is there too much resistance in the regulator mechanism.. I will open the motor and freshen everything up anyway.
Also, the connector will not come loose, even when force and lubrication is used!?

Edit, window moves freely, so the motor must be the problem.

Ok, cleaned and greased everything up. I did encounter something strange. Maybe this motor has been revised before. Those 3 little brown pieces that fit in the white gear seemed a bit too high. That resulted in that grey "gear part" not falling in flush in the white gear. Which in turn gave some friction with the black lid, even with grease. So filed those 3 brown pieces down and now all fits like a glove. Motor now runs smooth and strong. Install in door this weekend. Thanks for all the advice guys. It wasn´t that hard after all with your guidance.

Yep, looks like someone was in there before you, and swapped that motor out, as in 1967, if memory serves correct, does not have that kind of connection to the motor, nor does it have the pucks. Don't know what happened to those pucks that you have, or what someone made them from. Or perhaps they are starting to disintegrate, as they are not round and a weird brownish color to boot. Glad you are up and running, nice job!

Well looks like I celebrated too soon. Installed the motor, ran fine up and down about 5 times, then stopped. The regulator mechanism is clean and greased, window runs fine by hand. Got the motor out, runs for about 12 seconds, then stopped. I guess this motor might be too old and tired (like me) to do any hard work anymore. Did a short search on the internet. There are replacements for 1969 and up Chryslers, did not find a 67 replacement yet. Are they around? Or will a 69 replacement fit a 67 car?
