It's not cheap at 40 bucks a pound but for small jobs it works well.

Okay a bit more work, I decided to disassemble the dash assy and start working on that. I painted the back of the dash frame and dash pad after running a wire brush over it. I used Eastwood rust encapsulator to seal the bare metal. Then I test fitted the dash cap over the old pad before gluing it in place, the pic shows the test fit stage. Dash frame painted in semi gloss black, looks pretty.

Okay, the pad glued nicely into the dash cap, I had to touch up the area where the wood grain strip goes in as this area is exposed and was the original green of the pad. Then I mounted the frame to the dash pad, looks good even if I do say so myself. I also went through all the other parts, painting the glove box lid ashtray etc. Then I inspected the speedometer face, it doesn't look good. I did have one of these n much better condition but sold it a long time ago thinking I wouldn't get myself another fury. Blah, now if only I could remember who I sold it to...
On another note, the clock is out and doesn't appear to be operational, but I do have this nice tachometer that could be converted?

Man just be careful with that dash cap vs the sun. I put one on my 71 Torino and it curled up like a dryed banana peel. It was super hot and I shoulda used a sunshade but that might not have helped anyways. I only paid about 40 bucks for mine - I was shocked at how much more one costs for a C body as my Torino dash is roughly the same size & shape. Anyways it looks great just fear the sun like it's half vampire and you'll be fine.
Great work!! If needed I have a few extra speedometer faces. I’ve never taken those apart in detail. Message me if you would like a closer look at what I have. As far as the clock conversion goes my graphics guy is making more tach faces for me but he has been very busy and hasn’t Made them for me yet. When they are done I will let you know if you want one. I was hoping they would be done already. Keep up the good work I will be following your thread !!

Yes if you could show me a couple of your best faces i would be interested, it would be too much work to redo this one I think. Also last night i did some PaintShop creation and came up with this, I was thinking of printing this onto some photo card then coating with clear to fixate it.

So the storm passed and I pulled my 73 cluster out and put it next to my partially disassembled 70 cluster, apart from the gear selector display, there is a difference, can you pick it?

I think the 70 speedo was a single year product. I put an European speedo for a '71 in my '70 and virtually nobody notices the alt-temp swap. There are a bunch of extra idiot lights but i don't use any of them.
