Wollfen's 1971 Sport Fury GT !

Okay, just looked up the address on google to make sure i got the address right before I take off in the morning to pick up the car, and look! There it is!

So the day long odyssey is over. I am happy with what I got, it is in fact in pretty good condition, check the pics below to see when it comes to rear window etc. I will be swapping out the chassis and getting the washer bottle as well as putting a et of plain rims I have on it. he car has had a fair bit of mechanical work done to it already and doesn't need much t all to be a driver. So that puts me in a dilemma, I was originally going to strip it but it has the potential to be a nice driver. I have a solid chassis that could be bolted in. The rust issues it does have are an easy fix and because it is straight with no dents could easily be rubbed back, primed and painted. The only major issue is the seat covers, they are trash. What to do, what to do.

Continue to cherry pick for the GT... then either decide to build her in your "spare time" or offer her to see if someone else would. If no takers, at least make sure she will save others.

So my hunch was right, a very solid car ay? Looks like it was in v. good nick when that Google pic was taken.

Looks like it was stripped back some and sanded, as if prepping for bodywork and paint....

Yah, well the blue paint that is on it is peeling and yes he stripped it back to paint etc but lost his job. Here's the thing, that paint needed to come off as I see that some of the remaining paint is peeling off exposing bare metal underneath. I haven't taken a good look at it but it appears that it was repainted with no primer at one stage.

I will be taking the chassis out for sure very soon and do the other bits already mentioned. I have to make a decision though on how to store it in the short term. Even big workshops get crowded :p

The dilemma continues, I told my wife about possibly parting it and she said and i quote, "Hell, F#@K NO!" I guess that option is off the table huh? Here are some more pics to give you all an idea why, looking it over I found it has a near new twin exhaust system as well as overhauled brakes(including NOS booster) New alternator and water pump, plus it is an AC car. New windscreen front and back too. Tires aren't bad either. Everything checks out nice mechanically and it runs good, brakes feel good, front suspension is tight too. Just that damned interior sucks. Trunk floor has some rustiness too but that's typical, it is solid, no holes.

That thing would make one badass cruiser.

Oops, couple of more pics for all. Yup all the chrome work is there plus badges etc. Complete vehicle, I'm thinking a set of plain rims and dog dishes? Lastly, I found the original 1971 warranty card and owners manual in the glove box, the car was sold new at Bouldin Motor Company in Eden NC. The town I just purchased it from.

Congrats... sounds like you just became a his and her type of family...

Some ebay type seat covers with a thin layer of foam will do a lot. Then drive it!
