Old Man with a Hat
Okay, just looked up the address on google to make sure i got the address right before I take off in the morning to pick up the car, and look! There it is!
Yah, well the blue paint that is on it is peeling and yes he stripped it back to paint etc but lost his job. Here's the thing, that paint needed to come off as I see that some of the remaining paint is peeling off exposing bare metal underneath. I haven't taken a good look at it but it appears that it was repainted with no primer at one stage. So my hunch was right, a very solid car ay? Looks like it was in v. good nick when that Google pic was taken.
Looks like it was stripped back some and sanded, as if prepping for bodywork and paint....
I will be taking the chassis out for sure very soon and do the other bits already mentioned. I have to make a decision though on how to store it in the short term. Even big workshops get crowdedContinue to cherry pick for the GT... then either decide to build her in your "spare time" or offer her to see if someone else would. If no takers, at least make sure she will save others.

No no, The Gt arrived and took up two bays! Then I started pulling it apart, man that car takes up some real estate. I can't imagine the sedan going in there and pulling it apart too.Ok, I get the hint lol....
That thing would make one badass cruiser. The dilemma continues, I told my wife about possibly parting it and she said and i quote, "Hell, F#@K NO!" I guess that option is off the table huh? Here are some more pics to give you all an idea why, looking it over I found it has a near new twin exhaust system as well as overhauled brakes(including NOS booster) New alternator and water pump, plus it is an AC car. New windscreen front and back too. Tires aren't bad either. Everything checks out nice mechanically and it runs good, brakes feel good, front suspension is tight too. Just that damned interior sucks. Trunk floor has some rustiness too but that's typical, it is solid, no holes.

Patina, oh a clear coat then, now thats light on labor, I like how you think.I think dog dishes would compliment the patina nicely.
Congrats... sounds like you just became a his and her type of family...The dilemma continues, I told my wife about possibly parting it and she said and i quote, "Hell, F#@K NO!" I guess that option is off the table huh?
