Alright, here are the pics of the subframe from underneath, as you can see the rust is extensive and I have decided it isn't worth the trouble. I found that the two extensions on the end basically aren't doing their job anymore and this may have lead to something I found on the front guards. Each front guard just back of the top of the wheel arch has a slight kink in the side. The only thing that I can think of that may have caused this is the chassis flexing while the car was being transported? It's not the transporters fault mind you, I wouldn't have thought of it myself, but as a cautionary tale if anyone is transporting a car with this sort of frame in it that is rusty it would be a good idea to support the body underneath with a couple of wide tires to minimize flex up and down.

I phoned and am making an offer tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Excellent stuff mate, go for it. $1k cash max. - remember, it's a "rusty piece of ****, you'll never do anything with it. Beyond saving Sir.....", ha ha.

And Marc (handle “A38E86D32”) may need some parts from it too for his '71 Fury NJSP cop car...

Man, your original stub frame is really rotten. You were not kidding about the amount of rust.

No wonder you didn't need much help moving things around. You may need help moving your new stub around. It will weigh twice as much.

Got some more work done today, stripped cleaned, primed and painted some front end parts, plus I made up a new gas line for the body.

You have some mad bending skills, looks great. I never can get it that close.
A good way to practice is to take a large paper clip and bend it perfectly straight using your fingers only and not looking while watching tv, I spent many a night doing this and yes it works!

Here is a bit of an update, while waiting to go pick up the other car I have been tinkering on parts in preparation. I made up all the new brake lines and also gas lines too. Front suspension is almost done.
