    This camera doesnt seem to like to play with this light or something. I see some lint and I think the shop coated the surface a bit. I will wipe it down with acetone I guess on build day. does it look ok? hopefully its a good enough surface for steel shims like the factory gaskets?

    The deck is -10, cylinders bored 30+ Crank was polished and checked good at std. block was cleaned magna-fluxed, cam bearing and frost plugs, galley plugs replaced. supplied cam bearings installed.     I got this little parts washer for $35 off craigs and I'm happy with it. I think I need some diesel or something else in here I'm pretty surpised at the quality of all the bolts and brackets. It might be the varsol but I feel like I'm panning for gold. :D

    sounds like a part throttle issue like its dripping down the carb or leaning out. maybe a couple taps on the float bowl and some seafoam in the tank? was it sitting up a bit? I know a loose timing chain would act like that too because the timing is see-sawing at the near constant

    No I couldn't do that as parts here (Canada) cost a fortune and then he adds more (even though at first he said I would get everything at his discounted account price). Like the pistons I paid $600 off summit and he quoted me over $1200. I just cant do it, it drives me mad even contemplating it...

    Yes I agree the heads should be ready to go out of the box but I figure since everyone says they are not, I should use the service they have and get it done I'd guess. I was hoping I tell them the cam and they would shim the seated height and such for that. I hope... I'm looking at these...

    the stock cam did go in freely. the other bearings are dead on. maybe they do that to the front for some reason? I paid IMO alot of money that should have covered all the bases. I haven't got a new cam yet I been doing research to make sure I get the right one. The lifter and cam failures I see...
