    Fender Tag decoder

Would you let me try to decode the fender tag on your '59 NY? Let me know about any obvious options like p/w, p/seat, a/c, touch tune radio, p/ant, swivel seat, flitesweep deck, seating material & color, external color & VIN. I learn from each example. Stay warm, up there.

    Fender Tag decoder

As a Des Moines native and Northern Natural Gas retiree, I'm very familiar with temperatures in Mpls in winter. Typically bottoms out in mid Feb. We were married in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA 2-2-63. Groundhog Day was a beautiful Bluebird Day--blue sky and very cold but no wind...

    65 Imperial Tag

Here are the 1965 Imperial paint codes and a decode report attached. Seem about right? I would appreciate any feedback or external pictures that might help define the "Moulding" by the "4" under the "8" on line 1. Door edge? Sill? Side? I note that some LBaron's have a nice, wide...

    1963 Imperial Fender Tag Decode

I am developing and testing a 1960-1966 Chrysler Imperial combo VIN & fender tag decoder and I need to test it from time to time. So, I plugged in the data you posted here and fudged in some other to enable preparing a complete report. I can easily re-run it if you wish--with actual VIN and...

    1966 Chryser 300 fender tag

I see we have beat on this before. I will carefully review the thread.Sorry for any repeat questions. I hope my decode was helpful on the bucket seats questions. Both powered and clad in black vinyl--and under a black vinyl top?.

    1966 Chryser 300 fender tag

I admire, appreciate and use the '66-'67 decoder but it is focused on Dodge Chargers and is less precise on other '66 MoPars.as its author states. Looking at the tag, I see a6: Console; b5: power bucket seats-LH & RH (ref:'66 Imperial codes b4 would be LH power seat only powered); f6: rear...

    Unknown Fender Tag

That is a Canadian tag and they are very uninformative.

    Fender Tag decoder

I see yours is a '58 Imp and that one of the pix I sent was unreadable so here is a better example of a '59 Chrysler 300E tag--and one of a '58 Imp. I'm still in the data gathering mode but do have some decode notes found on the 'net.

    Fender Tag decoder

I've collected some examples of '57-'59 Chrysler-Imperial tags to enhance my existing 1960-1966 decoder and would like to work with you on decoding the tag on your '59 Chrysler. and '57 Imp. Please post or PM pix.

65 New Yorker 9 passenger Town and Country

And here is the report for your car. Thank you for posting it. I had to do a little tweaking. I need your input on several things: There is often an inspector's stamp on the fender tag-a single digit. I think I see vestiges of a "9" in the upper RH area of the tag. No big deal, just to...

    1963 Imperial Fender Tag Decode

Thanks for posting the tag. I can guess the important first four digits of the VIN. TRM was a little hard to read but code 903 in Tan makes sense. 909 in Gold was also a possibility. Happy New Year.

    NOT MINE '65 Ghia Limo.

I would appreciate the opportunity to decode the VIN and Fender Tags of this rare car--to test and confirm my decoder-under construction. N/C, ever. I see you also have a '62 Imperial and I would love to decode that car's tags, also. Full VIN's not required if concerned--just the first four...

65 New Yorker 9 passenger Town and Country

I would appreciate an opportunity to decode the VIN and Fender Tags of this car--to test my decoder on a loaded NY wagon with a vinyl top. N/C ever. Please post or PM pix. Report of similar car attached. Maybe decode your own?? Happy New Year in any case.

    1963 Imperial Fender Tag Decode

I have prepared the attached decode report for the VIN & Fender Tags of your car, but I had to guess at much of the data. I can easily rerun it if you would advice the actual VIN & bottom line of the Fender tag. Photos of both would be best, but I can work from a transcription with spaces. I...

    1955 C300 Front End

No, we did not. Black car is not ours. We sold ours years ago (and regretted it). Standard C300 front end & bumper-unique vertical's locations on a rather standard horizontal base.

    1955 C300 Front End

1955-56 300 front bumpers are unique in the locations of the drilled holes for the little bumper guards. Attached is a picture of a '55 C300 with the wrong bumper, one of me and my C300, one of a '55 Windsor and one of a '55 New Yorker. All similar, but with different bumper guards. One...

1965 Plymouth Fury III fender tag help decoding?

I have a VIN/Fender Tag decoder that will eventually cover 1960-1966 DeSoto's, Chryslers and Imperials. I have no plans to add Plymouths or Dodges, but beginning in 1965, there was a lot of similarity on the fender tags of MoPar cars across the makes and plants. Therefore, I was able to run...
