i suspect this is a true 1 of 1 color combo car..... silver w red/maroon int were fairly common in other body lines however.. so who knows ... first one i have heard of.. and no v top makes it much cooler..

nope.. both V codes.. yellow one is the FACTORY SHOW CAR for 1970..and BLACK/BLACK one is just badass.. but the BLACK/ORANGE ONE is the best of all..

yes just finding a car is the hardest part.. gotta finish my 70 340 challenger first...then will start on the GT hope its sooner than later.. time will tell..

sadly nothing but buying parts i see.. .. family issues the last 10 years have kept me occupied.. hopefully in a few yrs that chapter will end and i will be free again..

i located the original owner and he had kept all the original paperwork..WINDOW STICKER, ORDER SHEET, FINANCING, TRADE IN etc.. so its the most documented V code in existence..

got 450.00 for the last one on ebay.. but it was mint.. this one is nice..

the wire trick also separates the the two sections of the vehicle electrical system.. if car starts then its the vehicle wiring side... if it doesn't its the engine side.. coil/distributor etc.. simple..

you are in for an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! painless kits are more for dune buggies and street rods with easy access and routing.. my car did the same thing as yours ..it was the ign switch electrical portion.. replaced it and no more issues.. i kept an EMERGENCY wire with me with alligator clips on...
