Old Man with a Hat
You wouldn't put it in running condition if you had it?[/QUOTE
Yeah, but I'd be driving it

Likely scenario:Let me know if it goes to a "no reserve" auction....
Likely scenario:
They look into auctions. The hassles overwhelm them.
They start contacting "classic car" dealers hoping to sell it to them.
They all want to list it but under consignment.
While "under consignment" it will get detailed and glamour shot.
It will not sell for a year.
The owners then sell it to the consigner for $10,000.
New owner/dealer will vigorously market it for for $25,000.00.
Will sell it to an overseas buyer for $15,000.00.
Overseas buy is a dealer flipper and advertise it for $30,000.00U.S.
.
It will get posted here .
Again.

90% of the hoods are closed at a show and you have to meet/see the owner
I hate hoods open at a show, yet I usually followed the herd and opened it....usually. I'm done with that...... It stays closed.
IMHO that is the correct way to display a car. It's about the style ....... not the greasey bits.
At Carlisle Doug and I had a question about the additional tag on Jazebelle and approched the owner of the other red 69 300. He was more then happy, (as I would be), to open his hood and view his tag as a comparison. After the discussion, the hood goes back down.
And I have a distaste for props. Any kind.
Dave and Mark....With a bunch of these vert's popping up in the last few years do you think the survival rate of them is higher than 20-30%??? How many realistically could still be barn finds or just in private hands and don't want to be known?
I'll do what I can from MI, I love that you do this.
