I disagree.......I knew of 9 for sale last year at one point, no way 10% of the running cars still left were for sale.

you will see, a car here and there will show itself like they have been.

ok and of those 9 we already knew of 7. Sure a car here and there, two a year..... thats how many in the next 20 years? 40! How many of those will be running driving cars. I also cant expect to locate two a year on average since they will get tougher to find.

Fred has been with me on this ride since 2001 and over those years we have located several cars but it is drying up. Some years we locate zero.

Not everyone has a shed...........

I know, and i guess for those who could car less abt cars it's just taking up space they need but you get my point. Apparently he doesn't have the ability to research these cars to find out what they are really worth?

Knowing you only have abt half of the reg cars as running makes me even happier with mine!

I really hope the story of this car and this thread doesn't trickle away and get forgotten.
Somehow, sometime, the car will be sold.

So the brown one that Jer and I looked at still sitting probably? Ever check back on that one?

Dave,

you got the green one on your list I shipped over back in the 90s to germany and had for a while? Think I shared the info already a long time ago. I do not have the VIN on hand.

We have a red one with black interieur and a 70 Monaco grill, too as well as a red one with white interieur (seen that one 20 years ago and not again since).

No Matt, given where the car is sitting , the eccentricity of the seller and the asking price I have not. ... I was hoping that one was going to be as nice as this one..

We talked about these before I believe. The car with the Monaco grille I have, but I'd like to have a photo of the fender tag
Not just a word of mouth on the VIN.

There are a dozen or so across the Atlantic that I am aware of. Some of those, no numbers on.

It's a shame they are so delusional.

If I was interested, I would perhaps have given them an offer of what I would pay for the car and left my contact info. When the world fails to come knocking at their door, them maybe they would reach out.

A car like this is always much more work than it seems. My Cutlass was untouched for years prior to my buying it in '93 and that car took years to sort out due to lack of use and maintenance. Low miles and little rust doesn't mean much when every maintenance/time-sensitive item needs replacing.

AND I disagree, I would want to see the car in the as found in state, to me it is much more valuable this way... obviously I am the minority

I agree with you about that Dave. Theres something special about that first cleanup after 20+ years of storage. Kind of like unwrapping a special gift.

I'm sure Dave will be interested in seeing the one with the wht interior!

I usally NEVER take pics of C-body tags except they are something real special.
It is kinda hard here, too as usually 90% of the hoods are closed at a show and you have to meet/see the owner
