My '63 Imperial came with a single exhaust that looks to have seen multiple repairs over the years. I'm planning to install a dual setup. Ideally, I'd like a nice V8 rumble, but not annoyingly loud, and not a "dump truck" sound either. It's a completely stock engine, I don't need anything extreme.

The two sources I've found seem to be Waldron (1957-66 Chrysler Imperial V8 Dual Exhaust w/Resonators) and Classic Exhaust (1963 Chrysler Imperial 8 Cyl Engine Dual Exhaust System | ClassicExhaust). Waldron seems to have a few more options, but the most recent thread on here didn't seem too happy with them. Classic seems to be a little less expensive and have shorter wait time.

- Can anyone share first-hand experiences with these companies to help my decision?
- Given that I only have a single pipe right now, does anyone know how I can figure out how many clamps or hangers I will need to buy?

I don’t have experience with either one but another option would be to check into local exhaust shops. A good shop will do just as good of job as one of these kits. IMO almost any full exhaust with cambered style mufflers will not be loud. If you find a shop with performance car experience you can tell them what sound you want and they can help you pick the correct mufflers.
