1966 Polara 880: The Build So Far, or "Bring Money".

Stripped this mess off the car. The floor patch was laid over top of the old crap. It's a bit soft above the patch, so I'm going to bridge the gap with some new metal.

Also got to replace half of this crap.

Should be fun. At least the other side is good enough to hopefully be able to use as a template.
 
Patched this panel. Going to soak it in some DIY "evapo rust" to get rid of all the rust.

All those pictures of rust will keep me awake tonight! Here in the desert (Tempe, AZ) it is rare to even see surface rust.

On rare occasions in the wrecking yards here one pops up with rust, but it didn't get that disease here!

On the other hand, the sun beats the crap out of anything not made of metal. Plastic, paint, rubber get hammered.

Window tinting, seat covers and garages are popular ways to defeat the sun.
