1967 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible project

great work, the pics are very similar to mine, the rust areas, the hanging stuff on a bar...:sSig_goodjob:

Nice work. I love the look of your door panels. Where did you have them done?

Thanks :) They were done in a small upholstery shop called KhreliX Design in Vantaa, Finland (www.kxd.fi) For the leathers and the job it was 600 EUR.

Thanks, I saw your pictures too and they are so similar... seems that we found the most challenging -67 Furies there can be :D

You are right, these are two different cars not only one....

I recently bought a 67 sport fury convertible and i'm trying to decode the certicard and fender tag. Could you please tell me where you got the code information? Thanks, Brent

Small update... the first snow just landed here ( :snow_plow_oz: ) and all the time seems to go in other activities than fixing the fury... such as work...

Was supposed to go this week and install the steering parts back to frame, but I did not order this in time:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sps-68880

It arrives now next Monday, couple of days too late. Perhaps then next weekend, let's see.

Anyway, been preparing the parts and learning by mistake... had to get the other lower control arm pushing again as the first try did not go too well. Seems that you really cannot push against the rubber, it will break eventually :BangHead:

Some finished parts anyhow...

Before:

After:

And both sides ready to be mounted... with all new bearings and hoses as well.

Ok, some update again.

Removing the U-joints:

Finally got the subframe back to my own carage, fixed and painted:

Putting the parts back together... When everything was apart, the shocks were easy to install :)

The remanufactured steering gear in its place:

Next thing is to repaint the torsion bars, install them and then put the rest of
the steering parts in their place. I've also spent a couple of thousands of dollars
buying and gathering parts... e.g. Legendary seat covers, ACC carpet, new
shiny chrome arm rest bases and ashtrays etc.
:eek:s_dancing2:

Time for some updates again.

The subframe is now ready to go:

The trunk floor manufactured and base coated:

Under the car.... Those shocks will be replaced.

I am flying:

This car will run this spring :)
