Wow! All I can say is that is very impressive. That will be a super nice ride.
I actually don't like these Porsche Suvs. Looks Kind of silly to me :O
But is has a trailer hitch and a driver who could help me because I unfortunately don't have the license to pull a big Trailer.
But in retrospect, is was not the smartest idea to show up with a Porsche when you need to get a good, low price for the metal work.
Well well, lesson learned.

There are a lot more parts waiting to be electroplated. All individually blasted, derusted, deburred, filed, polished and prepared for plating.
You will not believe how laborious this was
But the result is worth it!

Julian. Good.... low price.....and metal work do not go together in the same sentence. An oxymoron of sorts.
Go through the proper procedure of cutting, drilling, fitting, welding and grinding one time and you'll get a feel for why it's so expensive. Not anyone can do it either.
Big jobs require a lot of panel alignment which will effect the final outcome.
Stay motivated. I haven't lost any enthusiasm for Virgil. Now that the metal work is completed and I recently received my interior panels I'm pretty stoked up about it. Just time and money...... Lots of both.

Same thing when I pulled into Moore's in SD while driving my 40' coach. Old man thought I was out of earshot when he told his guys that if I drove up in that I could afford higher pricing.

Ok, maybe "low price" was the wrong wording. I don't want the cheapest price I can get, but I want the best price for good work I can get. ;)
Indeed, time and Money is the whole magic! And patience.
And again she moved. This time to her new temporary home for the next few month to do all the "invisible" metal work with a friend of mine.

The Visible parts will be done by a professional to get the best base structure possible for a nice paint job.
All the other parts like the floor pans are not that critical because they will not be visible later.
The Donor Car is at it's final location. Next is cutting it apart to live on in my car.
And I immediately started to remove the old, rusted sheet metal from my car to replace it with pieces from the donor car.
Next was the rear left floor pan. It had this little, charming bulge from the factory. It had to go as well.
Next is welding everything, and then cut out the entire trunk pan on both cars. But unfortunately the weekend was over.
