1969 Imperial progress thread

Saved the seller some time with cleaning his driveway from snow at least.

This is confusing me because the Holley list says they are both for the 4160, but I will take the 119 kit then.

That 754 number for a 750cfm it might also have the O-rings yours is a 600cfm your p/n is most likely a 1850 I would go with that. When you put it back together don't tighten the crap out of the bowl screws. Good luck, worst case you still have to buy a carb.

Thanks! I thought my carb is a 750cfm. I can't find that information in the service manual. then I'll go with the 119 set.

I would just go with renew kit it has power valve in it floats don't usually go bad and the brass ones you can tin it with a soldering iron test it in water and vacuum secondary diaphams can be changed on car.

Ok, it was just in case of destroying them. But maybe you are right. The thing is, these parts are not available here in germany and shipping is very expensive.

Divorce choke and that funny linkage arm are specific on his carb, as long as his metering block is not warped he should be okay.

I would just buy a new 750 Holley single pumper wth the vacuum secondaries.
Plug n Play.

I'd go eddy 750 or 800 thunder series

I said Holley only because that's what is on there already.

Plan B is to go with a new Edelbrock 1411, but I'll try to rebuild the stock carb first.

I recommend a set of Mopar wires Julian. I've never had a premature problem with a set of Mopar spark plug wires, they fit well and do exactly what they should. I've had bad experiences with almost every aftermarket wire I've tried to use through the years wether yellow, blue, red etc..

These are nice, notice the different end shown that MSD didn't?

Thanks Matt!! :notworthy:

The connections are 100% different ;) And I'm sure you know that the Mopar version fits best!

I would prefer black cables, but you can't have everything.

I see they offer an 8mm set too but they're not pictured, maybe they're black.

Ok...! Now, I'm really ****** up! I called my shipper today (again) to get a status update. The german agent found out, that their american partners forgot my car and never looked for a truck until now...
How the f..k can that happen?! -_- And they found out only because the responsible agent in the US is on vacation and the substitute agent checked the status live on the phone for me...

I told them now, I wanna organize a trailer to the harbor by myself... The Agend said, he will check if this is possible or if they are already doing it (now...). I hope I can do it by myself. Then, I know that it's really done.

Unbelievable...
