1969 Imperial progress thread

What's the name of the company you are using?

Persistence and patience. Once it is in your driveway this will all be part of the back story. Oh, and call them every day to make sure they are on task, remember, they are working for you! Don't forget to mention this thread, they are getting negative and unwelcome press. On second thought, scratch that, you don't want them to "accidentally" drop the car in the water...

I never was upset about them, but that's a bit thick..! 3 weeks of doing nothing?... wow

That's why I asked....

The german agent found out, that their american partners forgot my car and never looked for a truck
FORGOT????????????
Yes. Send them a link to this thread. And tell them you're going to every forum out there unless they do something about the situation YESTERDAY.
Meanwhile, YOU stay on that phone 24/7 yourself.

Hi Julian,

I am very sorry.
I recommend Interfracht to you as I have done lots of business with them in the past and was very satisfied.

CFRrinkens is well known on the US west coast, too and seem to do a good job there. Lately they do the eastcoast job, too but it seems to be a mess. I had a problem with Rinkens, too about organizing a truck to the harbour from NY state. They made the same mistake, too. They trucking department seems to be a joke.

Container loading was fine though, no dents etc

Carsten

It's not your fault, but thanks.

I can only hope that they realize now, that they have to change something in their trucking department :X

But good to know that the rest should now run smoothly!

Now, I'll organizing the transport by myself. As a matter of prudence, I started a uShip auction on Monday already. It will end next thursday and the current bid is already cheaper...

Maybe I close the auction before its regular end, when the parts from Summit are already arrived.

Although you can get lucky on uship, you can also get stuck with brokers who can't find a truck to take your shipment for the rate they bid.

Have you tried DAS?

I've used a few different companies and I had the best experience with them.
They are more expensive, but...

Coast to Coast did good by me from Detroit to Boston after several others spanked me around !!!! :VB toast:

And they were very competitive with most of the quotes I had and well within my allotted budget.
