If I was in the market now and it checked out I would gladly give him 12000. Cheap compared to a Nova.

I don't see anything that rationally justifies his asking price. Cornering lights and signal repeaters are nothing special.

I think we agree that the car is better with than without those options. I mentioned them because they suggest that this '69 is not truly "base" -- a fact which becomes relevant when comparing it with the plain Jane '70 to which my post linked (a green car that had very few options yet sold for over $13k last year). Without additional info, I am not sure if the car is worth $12k -- but I am pretty sure it's not worth only half that.

I stay practical as the car salesman found out this afternoon when he got grilled.

Pray share the details -- in particular, is the paint original (the double stripes on the side give me pause -- I have seen many like this on PA cars from the 1980's, but not from the '60's), is there any rust, etc. -- and have you got photos of the engine bay / trunk / fender tag, by any chance?

How do you know it's a dealer?

I make that judgment based on all the other "classic cars" staged around the lot this Dodge is parked on and what appears to maybe be an office on the grounds. I could be wrong but that is what it looks like to me. If it were some kind of small car show, there would be people milling around it seems to me.

I do think the price is reasonable, but also optimistic for here in the U.S. But it only takes one person that has to have it too. I am wondering whether it is a repaint, original color or whether there is anything lurking on the under side to surprise. I would want to look at it in person if I were serious. But it certainly has potential. We just don't know enough yet.

Also, if this car did not have a vinyl roof, my enthusiasm would be half of what it is. I like them on most cars, but not all of them.

The double stripes are correct...…...

The Color choice of the original owner was pretty fortunate as it fits this car perfectly and tones down the shiny front end quite a bit, too. Subject to personal inspection before, this would be worth the asking Price in my book if it's as Sound in all parts including mechanicals, but not much more.
My guess would even be original paint with some old partial repaint due to minor damage as I seem to sense a slight Color difference in the right rear quarter or at least filler Panel. Stripes and dealership script still in place suggest original color, too.

I looked at one for @69monaco it was a similar color with the spring special trim, I fell in love with the car. If this was close, I might be figuring out what to sell, ok, how to finance, but like @tbm3fan I'd start at the very low end of the price range. And Alan is right, redlines would make this car look outstanding. Oh well.

Redlines looking great under these cars!!

Thread reminds me of "Bring a Trailer" which is full of fan boys in the comments section. I recall a car for sale where they ooh and ahh all over, yet had many several obvious things wrong with it, as they thought the price was well worth it. It wasn't. Sorry, but I am not a fan boy in regards to anything. I'm paid to think clearly and come up with rational and logical options for people at all times. The only time I am not rational is when a vendor does something that calls my reputation into question. I'd usually fire them the moment I get the rep on the phone but my receptionist intercepts the phone call to head it off at the pass till I relax and back to normal.
