Another stroker combo. You guys keep it up I will be the only a$$hole on here with no C body and a stock stroke 440.
I'm right there with you on the 440. Everytime I think I can plan for a stroker build, I buy another car.Another stroker combo. You guys keep it up I will be the only a$$hole on here with no C body and a stock stroke 440.
I'm only debating it because the block I have needs enough machine work, that by the time I rebuilt it stock, the investment to make it a stroker would only be at most a grand more, that and this being a back burner project, it gives me time to build up some funds in the piggy bank for it.I'm right there with you on the 440. Nope, I have multiple c bodies and no, none, zero 440's. All of mine are powered by little old 383's.Another stroker combo. You guys keep it up I will be the only a$$hole on here with no C body and a stock stroke 440.
We can always put one in, I have several!Nope, I have multiple c bodies and no, none, zero 440's. All of mine are powered by little old 383's.
Thanks, I think. We can always put one in, I have several!
Yeah, I forgot to mention they all need a rebuild. I'd do a stroker for one, I want to have one non stock tire scorcher at some point. Thanks, I think.
Be sure to share what they tell you, always like to hear from a craftsman of their trade. The debate I keep having is between the 500CI vs 512CI kits...
I mean realistically, a conversation with my trusted machinist and a few of my local Mopar racers will be in order, the goal of course will be a reliable Torquey street motor, I'm not building a trailer queen, I want something I can take the wife into town for ice cream in, or hope in it and run the highway down to Carlisle..
Do you really think you'll need 12 extra cubic inches??The debate I keep having is between the 500CI vs 512CI kits...
I think the 4.25 with Chevy rods is really close to no notch depending on casting flaws.I thought I read somewhere that you had to notch for clearance on the 4.25, but not the 4.15 .
I think I may go 3G Hemi with stroker the next time around. I also would bring 8 speed along with it. Now I just need someone's pride and joy pick up truck to gut.Yeah, I forgot to mention they all need a rebuild. I'd do a stroker for one, I want to have one non stock tire scorcher at some point.
5.7 engine?I think the 4.25 with Chevy rods is really close to no notch depending on casting flaws.

Yes 5.7, it has same issues as old stuff. Crap pistons, powdered metal rods, so same rules apply swap it for stroker ceank, H beams, and forged pistons.5.7 engine?
I'm going to stick with old school since I've stockpiled so much of it.
There's suddenly about 4 of them on the forum alone...WTF.......
It will be the only hand built one and MAYBE you'll get your own special displayThere's suddenly about 4 of them on the forum alone...
What's the point of doing all the conversion work to take it to Carlisle and have another one park next to it... So much for originality
