I painted and mounted the rear alternator mount. The car came with spares of everything. I still need to find one more bolt to hold it to the head. I have no ETA for the alternator returning.

The recored radiator is back in. I hope to sneak the fan and shroud in behind it. I will be installing a Flow-Kooler water pump and a new thermostat to keep the 440 cool.

The new Holley Retrobright low beams will be in a few days from now. I can’t wait to get the headlamps wrapped up.

How much does a recore cost? I see lots of aftermarket radiators for $150. Like to keep my original though.

That is the going price these days for a really good recore with a high efficiency core - you get what you pay for. $150 cores might work OK in Alaska.

So I got my NOS fuel pump in and bumped the key. Here is what happened!

So I let the engine run a little longer. Now I have the mother of all rear main leaks. I think I can repair it in-car I don’t want to pull the engine, especially since I miraculously have a full charge of R-12 after 52 years.

I know what the part number is, I just have not measured it nor have I cared to measure it.

All headlights are now Holley Retrobrights. They are worth every penny. I will take some night time pics later.

These are considerably brighter than the old sealed beams. They are plug-and-play. I chose the classic white color.
