I bet I could easily push a pencil through the bottom rear quarter. There is a big issue from what I'm seeing in this picture. The other side is probably as bad or worse.

If it was stored poorly, that'll happen, driven or not. Nothing will stay showroom pristine for 40+years stored in a warehouse, like this reportedly was.

It's been a roller coaster....
Per the tone of the ad on Snapface, any potential buyer will be met with extreme hostility, especially if any questions are asked about the car. If you look at it, be sure to post about your experience here. The odious seller will be the biggest hindrance of any transaction taking place, with an assumption that hostility and price are inversely proportional.

If not noticeable in my five years here, i really never ever get personal with people. And I will not here .. hell, they're just cars.
I have been involved in 100's vehicle transactions, successful and failed. The ones that work best is when seller and buyer communicate clearly, openly, and negotiate fairly, etc.
Sometimes, even when that happens, deals fail. But you part ways as "friends", maybe another deal comes up later, maybe never, but that's the way the ball bounces.
Let me just say ... this deal would have been hard for me to conclude. my patience would have been long gone IF these posts accurately describe the information flow/content in an actual deal discussion.
Long and short of it all: I'll try my hand at it -- irrespective of what happened before as documented here-- and see how it goes. I like this car. Perfectly able to buy it with a keystroke .. but I don't have to have it.
But it does need to be "saved".
I DO hope it transacts at a fair price and finds an appreciative new owner, or stays with an appreciative current owner, whatever the case may be.

did that with my '78 st regis. that was a hot car. swapped 440 with my offy tunnel comin' through the hood behind those waterfall grills. med. gray metallic. never took pictures though, damn it. really love these cars, but too late in life to own another one.
Judging by the high VIN it could have an interesting SPD and MDH. But the dealer's site doesn't load in my part of the world. If somebody gets hold of these data, I would be happy to know.

Not to change the subject....but guess what's back on the market on CL? The "Blue Pig" in Florida (1977 NYB) is still for sale with a $5400 price tag. The seller now claims he's in ill health.
