3rd Annual Midwest C Body Car Show

Yes he did, and I saw the photos. He did a lot of work and the car looks fantastic. I saw it at Carlisle last year. I definitely respect car owners who do their own work. I regret saying what I said now, and am seriously sorry to Lea that I said it. I'm not like Rob Wolf from Collector's Guide, I don't think that I carry an arrogant attitude. I love all the older cars out there. But I hate when the cars sit outside and deteriorate, when they could be on the road. My point is, if you leave an older car outside, and do not have a garage to put it in, get rid of it. It will get worse faster over time.
The car in question carried the two of us nearly 1500+ miles over the course of 3 days and did nothing but perform better and better.....

I'm not going to argue further as I already know you are wrong,

My point here is that the BOAB couldn't have a better owner and more responsible owner,

And one more thing, cars DETERIORATE FROM NEGLECT AND LACK OF MAINTENANCE, not from how they are parked for a few months when the weather is good....

If you disagree with that then I don't know what to tell you, my dad doesn't have a garage for his Z28, guess he might as well just send it for scrap now too....

Too bad I'm so far away on the east coast, otherwise I probably would of came.
If you can make it out, you should. Those Canucks did just fine and it was a 12 hour journey. You could claim, and reset the long hauler award!

If the timing's right next year, I could probably make it in a day.
Maybe catch up with the MN group somewhere, and convoy it out the rest of the way.

@69FuryIIIConvertible. I will admit to you especially and Lea, and everyone else who is on this tread, that I am wrong, and don't know why I said what I said, and am very sorry if I insulted anyone in anyway. I am a good person, and don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings in anyway. Lets just drop that subject, forget what I said, and all get along and be friends here. I'm just letting you know too that I deleted that stupid post as well. @69FuryIIIConvertible, I hope no hard feelings were had between you an I, and we could still chat on the site. I'm also very sorry if I got you angry to no end as well. Forgive me sir. Keep the faith.

Wow ...... What you said wasn't meant to hurt, just your opinion . I understood what you said and why . I didn't necessarily agree with it 100% but the point was taken. Unless I missed something, you're a better man than I .

I don't hold grudge's and never have, its not worth it. admittedly, I over reacted defensively, I'm running on 4 hours sleep today after we got to my house shortly before 1 AM.

I just don't like when people "Bad mouth" (I'm not saying you did, I'm just too tired to think of the correct term) those they don't know for how they treat something that is theirs, especially when that person has worked so long and hard and made so many sacrifices to resurrect it.

Lea is one of the absolutely most generous and kind people I've been so fortunate in my life to have met and call my friend.

Nick

Okay, now that is out of the way, and I have some time to do this right....

First of all, a HUGE thank you to all of those of you involved with the set up and organizing of the show, It was an a perfect day with excellent weather, great cars and the best people.

Oh and the food, it was amazing, hands down the best Fried Chicken I've had.

Second, Thank you to EVERYONE who came out, whether they brought their cars or not as it was a pleasure to put names to faces and share some laughs along the way.

Tim, the long distance award you Gave was the most thoughtful and well thought out thing I've ever seen given out at a show.

I had an absolute blast, It was great to talk to all of you and get to see your cars in person, having watched you guys build some of these cars or at least do different stuff on them or buy them via this forum, so many beautiful cars.

The after party at Xenon's place was great, I know I had a ton of fun (among other things...I don't drink...I consume). Not only was it a lot of fun but a lot of knowledge and experience was shared. Wish we could of stuck around longer, but we were beat.

Now onto our Sunday, we got up, checked out, had a great breakfast at a place called Emily's in Gurnee IL, then headed up to Fox Lake, IL for the Mopar's in the Park show.

It was a great show in a nice setting with some more beautiful cars.

We left from there for home!

I just read that post with yer voice in my head lol

It was great to meet you Nick!

Probably doesn't surprise many the one with turbos doesn't mind a little tire smoke...

I smile every time I see one like that with the 'stealth' Sears guardsmans that don't squawk but just kinda go zing
