I just learned that Andy Bernbaum no longer has the correct brake pedals for my car I guess Gary Goers in the next choice

I just got my freeze plugs and sent for the history on my '61. I sent the history PM with a tracking #

Love the car...good work. Have to say you are making me nervous working around that price-less trim and bumpers...

When I sanded by the trim I did that by hand

I know you are being cautious....masking tape will provide that little extra protection even if you pull it off ten minutes later, I tape stuff off constantly during tear down and assembly, don,t want to come across like a know-it all just prevents those bloppers you can,t fix, fantastic super rare car that I look forward to seeing shining like a new,keep us posted on progress

Now the trunk panel extensions are being fitted. I was told no more sanding for me for a while time to shape and weld the metal. I will but what I need when I have the cash but bills come 1st

I have not done much on the car as of now my part of the job is done for now. Its time to fabricate and weld the new metal. I am still buying the parts I need. I got to get the door w/s.

1 of the trunk panel extensions was fitted. I also ordered the door weather strips and hood pads and clips.I have not done that mush on the car I am under the weather right now.

thanks the seats are the correct pattern from the factory. I also leaned the car sold brand new in Burlington , IA.

Looking good Steph. You might want to be careful storing things on your upholstery so no divots will develop.

Thank you for the advice Will but no it will not be ready. I put those items there for the time being until I can find another spot I might move them to the floor. Were did your '61 1st sold when it was brand new?
When I went down to the garage to move some of the items on the floor It left this message on the drivers front window

Mine was sold new through a dealership in Dayton Ohio. Cantrell & Guy Inc, no longer in business.

Mine was sold brand new from Thomas Motor CO in Burlington, IA . I am not sure if they are still in business. The only option it came with the factory was the power steering, I believe the power brakes were added later

I am waiting for my hood pad and clips . I ordered them on February 11, 2016 from Gary Goers, I need to get my trunk card board kit , Electronic ignition kit , black paint, radio converted, speaker repaired This is all I can think of now but if I had the cash I would take it to a restoration shop. I am doing it home to save money on labor. I am going to unwrap the bezels and polish them that will give me something to do
