66 new yorker...was to be a nice story reveal

You should really look into Hagerty insurance once you get through this.
There are a number of collector car insurance companies. We have too much invested in our classics to trust them to the standard auto insurance companies. Remember insurance companies are out to make money, not pay out money. Hope everything works out for you

I would disagree. I know for a fact that premiums can vary depending on what part of the Detroit area you live in.

Oakland County vs Wayne County. Big $ difference just stepping across 8 mile.

The 65 is with Hagerty. No restriction on use and insured for $10k no problem.

My Coronet and Imperial are insured for $20K each through Hagerty. Had a tornado take out my house, shop and cars in 2003. The Coronet was not home, and i was years away from the Imperial yet. Hagerty paid out on four cars within a week of the claim. Great company to use!

I also liked that Hagerty is kinda local. The cottage is 5 miles from their office.

How'd we go from a crashed car to insurance coverage?
I don't know what your laws are there but if you haven't talked to a Lawyer yet, do so now! Sue this person for negligent driving and make them pay. This cellphone **** while driving has to stop! Make a example of this person!

Way late to a thread once again. Sorry for your luck. Glad to hear you found the needed parts. Will follow the reconstruction with interest. Tend to agree with stubs300 that you should consult a lawyer.

They also require you to have inside storage and that's the tricky part for Chris.
As recently as January Hagerty told me that they just needed a picture of where the car was being stored and they no longer had a garage requirement. I do have a locked gated courtyard. You should ask if you haven't for a while. I love Hagerty Insurance and get the Platinum Roadside assistance. Covers every car in the house. Not a paid spokesperson.

You don't have to sell me on them and I have no storage issues. I also have the roadside but are you saying that the platinum covers your cars in addition to your classics???

Update:
I am still waiting for the insurance results but in the meanwhile here is the fender tag.
I need to source the proper paint and know someone loves to decode these ! Thanks in advance.

K is medium turquoise metallic and the 5K I think is the mist turquoise metallic C-pillar appliqué.
