66 Sport Fury-From The Beginning

We also spent some time over the holidays ordering a new front end rebuild kit, new transmission rebuild kit, and a B&M shift kit.
We're also pulling the front sub frame and sending it off to the blaster.
Things are finally getting busy.....

Well mid-summer has come and gone and no movement on the car. So, I've contacted another mechanic to help me out and I'm told he'll have an opening for me towards the end of the year. Yesterday I purchased another SF convertible parts car to get a bit closer to having everything ready when we make the move. I've also had some conversation with the roll back folks about how to mover her with nothing but the frame in the front end and they feel like we can make the move without damaging anything. The plus is the new guy only works one restoration at a time so things will hopefully go quickly. We'll see......

Sooooo..., you have a convertible parts car. Did I ever tell you I need the little piece of convertible boot trim at the the middle of the back window? Its for my 66 Polara, but it would be the same on any 65-66 C body vert. Also looking for two tone blue door panels. Mine are a bit crusty.

Meanwhile, my tan wagon is finally together and on the road. So, since yours left the same body shop shortly after my wagon, I'm thinking yours should be close to being done. :D
Really glad to see things are moving forward again.

6 years of promises......
And I really love that wagon!

A couple shots of the parts car since I still have nothing to post on the restoration...
Just wondering if anyone has ever seen this type of rear bumper guard? I like em.
And BTW, looks like I'm gonna convert to electric seats. The real reason I bought the parts car. The other seats I've collected along the way are a bit on the rough side.

Yes, thats the factory rear bumper guard. They couldn't have a bumper guard that would go over the top of the bumper and detract from the "PLYMOUTH" lettering.

That car looks too good to be a parts car.

They all look like potential restorations Jim.......

OK since i was off yesterday I spent some time in the garage. Out of seven bucket seats I was able to come up with a fairly decent set of seat trim and got them ready to ship to my buddy in Michigan for the treatment! Thought I show a before pic so you folks can see the difference when they return. I have a big push here for getting everything ready for the end of the year when we move the car. BTW I still haven't found the build sheet....
