68 Polara restore back on

I have been working on polishing my windows. I have decided that they are too scratched to bring back to perfection.
I really worked on one and got most of the vertical scratches out, but came at a cost to clarity.
Best method for polishing scratches out of glass?
I am doing a basic polish on the remaining and installing as is until I find some NOS or good replacements.
Years of gravel roads and and dirt sitting on the worn car whiskers took their toll.

I just received quarter window vertical weatherstripping. I probably need to finish polishing my last window band the stainless trim and reassemble.

On to my headliner
Cut the insulation so that it is supported by the roof supports so that it doesn’t have to rely 100% on the glue. If I have room I would like to ru a strip over the supports. I will have to test fit my bows.
Proper direction on insulation install accepted.

The front two panels are glued in. Need more adhesive for the rear one.

Also need to trim the rear a little more. The adhesive leaves no room for adjustment.
I also made a curtain to keep the adhesive overspray contained.

Laid out the headliner to help let the fold lines relax. I may have to take an iron or hairdryer to it to remove all the wrinkles. I am not sure if I want to take an iron to it. I also have a clothes steamer that may work.

Ended up using my steamer. Attached headliner to garage door and steamed.
It did an excellent job at getting the wrinkles out.

Finished the last insulation panel. There isn’t any extra room over the roof supports to put insulation over them without interference with the headliner.
Wear a mask kids. The spray adhesive in a enclosed area gets pretty strong.
A putty knife is a great tool to tuck in the edges.

It’s slow cooking but coming along.
Should have my dash frame, steering column and other painted interior trim pieces by the 19th.
I plan on taking the week of Thanksgiving off and the week before Christmas off to really get busy. It would be nice to have the interior complete before New Years.
After interior I plan to tackle my grill and lighting.
Except my bumpers seem to be missing from MRC. That’s what 10 years of storage could do to a guy. They still have a couple of places to look. The bumpers may be the go no go item for Mopars at the park.

Ouch, missing bumpers would really suck - I assume they would still be wearing all their mounting brackets and such so even more costly to replace.

No I have the all the brackets. I am sure they will stumble across them. They aren’t that small, and won’t fit much else.

The headliner is in. It wasn’t too bad. Key is to get the centerline and keep it straight. I followed the service manual. I did not apply any adhesive or cut anything until I was sure it was straight. I put all the bows in while it was hanging on my garage door. That made it much easier to handle. Started with the rear now and attached the wire supports (after trimming a couple of notches for the wir) and strung it towards the front. I used a couple of clamps to hold it in place until I was ready to glue the front. I worked my way down the sides and then finished around the rear window. I think it worked out great for my first try.

They did a very nice job on the construction. It had plenty enough material, but not so much that it got in the way. Even the centerline was marked.

Why not go look for speaker suggestions? I wanted my front center speaker opening to be able to accommodate both left and right channels and to add rears. I went to a local installation center to get advice, but walked out with new speakers.
They had a 4x10 dual channel speaker from Retro Sound. I just have to remove a couple of extra mounting tabs an I am set. Now I need to send my radio out for conversion.

Make sure that new speaker is the proper ohmage for the radio amp.
