'69 Fury III Convertible Build Thread- Project IVY

The chevys more than the Fords ........ I would think
I'd say Ford. The now Moparless Lance has a real nice old F100 Ranger. From what I've seen from his catalogs, you literally can build a new one. All you need is to find a VIN plate.

LMC Truck has an amazing amount of available parts. I had a 68 Chevy CST that I redone mechanically. Sold it before painting it.

Is this problem because Chrysler won't/wouldn't allow the aftermarket guys to make their stuff?

i can tell you for sure that it's the case with the modern stuff. Dodge doesn't support the aftermarket worth a damn. Rolling encryption on the tuning should be proof enough of that.

There was a guy at Carlisle selling non Mopar approved stuff that got arrested a few years back. Forgot his name.

He didn't have a Tawain made wiper cam for a 78 NY'er.........dammit!

That was Larson's..... The local sheriff came into the fair grounds and conficated all his stuff and took him off to jail.....
Larson's sued and won, turned out he was not in violation but in some sort of conflict with Chrysler licenseing who, in some sort of attempt to intimidate, sicked the sheriff on him. They lost their butt over that and Larson's is back in business.

Good job Chrysler. Way to kill any hopes of aftermarket parts.

I guess Ma Mopar wants all of these cars to go to the crusher. Brilliant strategy for building brand loyalty.

Hard to build them with no aftermarket, Mopar keeps this up we may have problems in the future when NOS parts start to dry up or become unaffordable.

We wanted a "Imported from Detroit" license plate for the front of the 300... A matter of pride. After finding none with an internet search I contacted a vendor about getting one made and was told that Chrysler would not allowed the use of the slogan, Copyrite infringement.

Funny thing... They are not even avaliable through Chrysler marketing. My girl friend had one custom made through a local trophy shop.

That tag is sooooooo righteous on that car, way more so than the current 300. Great idea!

Since you say it can't be had from Chrysler, I'm gonna try and
"Photoshop" one up and see if I can get a local guy to cobble it up for me.

Looks good Will, funny how the brand we're loyal to has no interest in free advertising. And thats happened no matter wh owned the company
