'69 Fury III Convertible Build Thread- Project IVY

So you're getting a Chevy what?

Nailed it... Any older vehicle that they make every aftermarket part for is too common and too Chevy/Ford for my taste.

Buy a solid Dodge and you won't need to build a truck made in Taiwan.

Here's a nice '54 from Omaha...

The only thing of mine that I name will be my boat, because it is said to be bad luck for a boat not to have a name.
No names for me either. Nicknames, kinda, we call my Challenger the beast because it is fairly uncivilized. My neighbors even call it the beast without even knowing that's what I call it. I'm sure they all hate it....

I came up with a fitting name for my boat when I took the letters off of an Expedition...

I just need an extra "O" to spell out "IN TOO DEEP"

The reuse of letters reminded me of when I added a name to my cousin's LHS...

He drove around not knowing it was there for a week like this...

1 of my 5 new (to me) rims, this one is the spare and is a 15x6 the others are all 15x6.5's, my car currently has 4 15x6's on it, need to get decent rubber for all the rims eventually.

Something is rattling in my brain's archives that wagons were sometimes bumped up a half inch.

Was told by a Friend of mine with a B Body ('64 Polara) that the earlier B bodies and some of the other body styles had wider rims, the wagon rims but be another possibility, but these might be the original rims for the '64 300 I'm taking them from.

Stan is right with the Town & Country having the 6.5" wheels, but they would have to be from '69 up to be 15" as the older 15" wheels were 6" wide, that came as an option with disc brakes. The '64 300 would have had 14" wheels.

Got thinking and checked the Factory wheel covers are 15". It really doesn't bother me as I am bead blasting these and putting them on my Fury with slightly larger Rubber.

That was nice of him, kool shirt!

Holy Cow! What's all that white stuff that's all over everything? I've never seen that here in the desert.

115 degree days for two solid months and you're gloating??
And don't give that dumb line: "but it's a dry heat".
