'69 Fury III Convertible Build Thread- Project IVY

Well, this is what you'll be looking at for 2016.....

Chris Christie or Paul Ryan vs. Hillary Clinton or Martin O'Malley

If you think we got problems now............just imagine if the Dem's get in 2016.

All animals are created equal. Some more equal than others.

One thing to keep in mind is parenting. My dad was a carpenter so I learned to swing a hammer. Guess what you learn when you grow up in the hood.... Cycles are tough to break.

Trying to keep the faith, came up with this, this afternoon, gotta go tomorrow and pick up some body supplies and see about getting my F8 mixed. Going to get the newer HD 318 Exhaust manifolds cleaned up and ready to go on the car, might drop them by my buddies shop and hot tank them.

I had a rust free 69 Fury 4 door with a 383 4 bbl in the late 70's at Ft. Bliss (El Paso), Texas that I bought for a couple of hundred dollars. I only had it for about 6 months before going back overseas. I should of kept that car too.

I don't know about Christy anymore. I think he had a hand in getting Obama reelected what with hob knobing him over hurricane sandy. All that praise was uncalled for. I'm not liking him so much anymore.

You didnt hear about him, Andrews and the other guy going to Washington and complaining about the lack of fed effort on Sandy?

Got a few things the other day, some recommended by my body man, he told me after I body work anything to be painted to lay a thin coat of the Zinc Chromate on it, then after it has thoroughly dried to epoxy prime it, he said this will help with adhession. The rest will be fore interior trim parts and dash parts.

Then I got into this tonight, this one is from the parts car and will be used as a spare.

Exactly what I needed, I now have everything to put this car back together. After a quick polish.

I can't believe you still get zinc chromate in rattle cans and from an originally German manufacturer. Last time I saw that in Germany was more than 20 years ago. They banned it completely here, not even paint shops have it. That should be good.

sent it back to germany :))

Had some interior color in a rattle can shipped to Germany two years ago. Had to order it to a US address to someone who put it into an overseas container with other stuff for a local dealer, only way to get it over. After all the hassle the color didn't even match. :)

This is how I did my light buckets so that they would still be reflective but blend in a bit better.

The reflective area is Duplicolor Bumper Chrome (I didn't have any Krylon Chrome), the black is DOM 16

Also cleaned and painted the bumper brackets with the DOM 16

Question, what should I use to polish my bumpers up?

Nick

I have yet to find a product that truly works on polishing old chrome. Your best bet is rechroming what you have

Zymurgy's job on his 300 looked good, don't remember what kind of brand he used for the chrome.
