'69 Fury III Convertible Build Thread- Project IVY

That looks great. I'll have to do the silvers lines on my dash like that.

From the pics you can tell he's trained by doing model kits, did this MPC Camaro convertible also about twenty years ago, but I'm out of practice. My hands are quite a bit more shaky now.

CM23 you are correct, one of my other Hobbies.

Worked on Bead Rolling a few of the panels today, will have to go back over tomorrow and finish the rest.

There is a certain satisfaction that fabricating and bead rolling your own panels brings, they aren't perfect, but they are 100% better than the last patch job the car had.

Had some time today, Hung my T7 parts cars doors on my Fury, also pulled the dash and gauge panel, back bumper and windshield trim while I was at it. I have a swap meet to go to tomorrow, but Monday is a holiday here and I will go back to welding then.

The 215/60-15's are dinky looking. I measured my other 15 x 6.5's and they won't accept the dog dishes, so these ones will be sand blasted and painted body color, the 15 x 6.5's will be painted black and used when I do full wheel covers.

Yeah, I remember them days also......I had to contend with snow plows plowing my charger in its parking space cause at the time we lived in an apartment building. Here's visual: Mid-February, fried starter motor.....shitty tools (couldn't afford real ones), no gloves, wind is howling and I'm out in the open. Not THAT long ago......

Nick, how are you getting the snow off the roof of your shelter?

I would have given up a long time ago. Nothing replaces pig-headed determination & you have plenty of it. Congrats!

... somehow there's someone who can do things thought impossible, simply because they do not realize that they should be incapable of the achievement.
The person in question achieved what he did largely because they had absolutely no idea that it was supposed to be impossible.

I used a push broom to drag it off the roof.

Dave hit the nail on the head.

I started it, I won't stop till I drive it home, or better yet do a nice smokey peel in front of everyone who said I couldn't.

Bought a set of 1971 340 J code 2.02 valve heads for my 318, 5 heads for $125.
