'69 Fury III Convertible Build Thread- Project IVY

Keep going at least someones making progress, was hanging out over on fbbo trying to motivate myself for my charger I got a spark but I think it will burn out quick with all the other crap I have going on. I should just shoot for getting barracuda back on the track.

I still don't know how you do it...
BTW, I just figured out recently this "Project Ivy" thing and where you got the name from.
Stan, I have no choice, I was told it "Couldn't be done"................an no, I got the project Ivy thing from the 1969 Plymouth Color book.

I have to make progress I'm getting the gotta drive it itch................

Weather has been screwy and I've been stupidly busy, my main job right now is trying to convince (that should read "Bribe") the little old lady down the street to let me stick the Fury in her garage. She has a 2 car garage, that's empty, she has no car, and no doesn't drive................and she's known me since I was a tike.

Had a friend who's a Mopar guy and retired bodyman tell me if I can get a indoor space, the next time he's down he'll teach me how to do body work properly (metal work in my 1/4's rockers, etc) so I've got a few weeks to get the indoor part.

Started sanding down what I thought was a good door........it's better than the old one.........not by much........

I "thought" it was original to the parts car...........but I found 4 different colors on it as I went down, the original color was turquoise and it must have had 15 different mirrors including a set of big old honking trailer mirrors...........so there's a few......million holes to weld up. masked the chrome and glass, but wasn't worried about the tarp..............

Young man......I'm dazzled every time you post another update on Green Ivy and WE encounter a new disaster that you calmly mitigate without blinking. I admire your tenacity and drive! Your journey should be an eight page spread in any automotive magazine. I can't wait to see you drive her too!

There is no body on this site that deserves a garage more than you. I believe it will happen for you, if it is full of junk I would offer to put it in storage, what she wants to keep, and pay the rent just to have the space nearby.

Thanks Bob, like everything, I take it one day at a time, address issues as they arise.

So excellent idea's Mike, I have to bribe her soon, I can't take this anymore.

So lately, lots of ice, and rolling electrical outage's. Lots of downed tree's, thought I should check on Angel.

Guess I'll have to dig out my chainsaw and take care of this after Christmas

Unbelievably, Angel doesn't even have a scratch on him.GEDC1551.jpgGEDC1549.jpgGEDC1548.jpgGEDC1545.jpgGEDC1542.jpgGEDC1540.jpgGEDC1538.jpgGEDC1536.jpgGEDC1535.jpgGEDC1550.jpg

If you lived in my town you'd have a spot in my place in a heartbeat!

He says matter-of-factly....
Me? I'd be like this by now: :icon_hang:

Good luck, merry Christmas I hope you land a spot in a substantial garage cause now your getting to the work that can't take disasters, and here I am complaining cause I need a pump for furnace in shop

Matt, I wish I was closer, even if I was in Windsor, a drive over the Ambassador would be worth it. Plus you'd have an extra set of hands when you needed them.

Not much scares me really. Been a bad month though, everything I care about has had something happen to it.

Such is life, pick up and keep on going, Wasn't as bad as it looked in the dark, only about 5 of the tree's largest limbs gave.

Chainsaw is still in order.

So ughhhh Been a while hey folks. Still working on an indoor space and protesting in the mean time (by that I mean I'm tired of freezing my balls off outside)

I have been planning my attack, but between catching a cold, my grandpa going down and breaking his other hip (I wish I was joking) and the shitty weather, the best I've done so far is pack the car up and put some lug nuts on it, set up a towing arrangement with my buddy Big Mike, So I just need the okay from my neighbor.

A friend asked me if I wanted a set of wheels for my Fury (My Falcon friend) So I went over this morning and spent part of the day shooting the breeze with him and solving all of the worlds problems.

Brought these home. Need tires a dome and a good cleaning, but for free I can't complain.

Thanks for the update, hope you can get to the garage soon. It will totally motivate you to have a dry enclosed space, that you can throw some heat into. Not that you need any motivation, but a nice enclosed space changes everything. I actually look forward to the changing seasons, because I know I can work on my car since I'm not driving.

I enjoy working on her almost as much as driving. I have been in a really good mood ever since I started working on Goldie again.

Noticed you had been hiding ......... I have been through that tent thing, they always seem like a good idea but always a problem. I was also without shelter many times so they are better than nothing.

Excellent wheels, interesting how many survive
