'69 Fury III Convertible Build Thread- Project IVY

Glad to hear you have a place inside to work on him. I can't think of anyone more deserving of a dry garage to work on their car. Especially after all you have done outside already in your tent..

Alright get him inside get some work done you and he have some commitments to make this year.
My Goal is Moparfest, but if it comes down to it, He'll be going to Moparfest on a trailer!

I'm at the point where I couldn't do anymore outside without ending up back peddling, in addition to a dry place to work, Angel's previous owner has mentioned that if I come up short and it's only a matter of money holding it up, he's willing to help out.............

I'm going to try and not have to use that offer.

Nick

I did all my early work on a rock driveway, in the winter, and it was up hill both ways

And I didn't have any shoes until I was 18

You had shoes ?!? I paid my dues with a '46 Ford tudor. In those days, it was all we had for transportation, and it needed a starter on the 283 Chevy engine I had in it. Had no place to work on it, and I had to have the car for work the next day. I put the passenger side wheels up on a high curb in the street. I laid on my back in the gutter, and it was cold and it was raining. . . The water ran around my collar and down into my shirt and pants while I worked. But I got her done. . . I think that was the most miserable car repair job I've ever done.

But I think Nick still holds first prize. . .

He did? Hes 18 ...
I've been on fire, while being mildly electrocuted laying in a snow bank.....................
So true. . . Most of us have many incidents / experiences of misery in our catalogs of "the good times" with our cars. . .
I haven't had any "Good times" with my car ever...............

And you lived Nick. Youve got many more heartaches, heartbreaks, cuts, scrapes, bruises, broken bones and lessons to learn before dues can be considered "paid".
Hang in there young buck, you're on your way.

Nick: Trust me. Some day (maybe 25 or 30 years out) you'll look back on all your car-miseries and say: "Man !Those were the good times."

Getting to the point where I may have to do what I said I'd never do, hell I have a choice between two things I said I'd never do.............Either let it sit and rot or sell it.........I wish I was anyone else but me......................
