73 Imperial "McGoldy" to join the Minnesota herd.

I have to keep pinching myself about how very lucky I was to get McGoldy...contacted the owner at just the right time...she is amazing to see in person...I almost just want to leave the bumper guards on her just to have a little diversity in the herd (Old Red had them and they're sitting on my parts shelf) although she won't fit in third stall with them on...middle only.

Love getting the new title and having everything official for McGoldy...the DMV here has really improved over the last 12 months...more efficient...plates came even faster.

I suspect that by now they should know who you are.
They probably have a window on the computer left open with all of Doc's info, just the year, is left blank. They know it'll be an Imperial, just "what color is he going to buy next".

Got to tell ya...this 72 Coupe is a blast to drive!

You need something blue... also green, black, white etc.

Found another vacant spot in my row for Mcgoldy leaving the shop next week after getting new fuel sending unit, exhaust, idler arm, etc...She didn't need that much mechanical work. Hope to drive her 'til snow hits.

We actually don't mind the snow in our house...But, it just means I drive the Imperials around in circles inside their Winter storage prison yard.

Will you be making all your autotemp II systems operable? I notice you still have the factory servo under the hood rather than the much more durable Performance Analysis ones that don't crack at the bottom and leak out all the coolant while you are driving down the road thinking all is well.........................

I would get the upgraded aluminum lower section servos or at least bypass the old style servos with the orange bakelite lower section with the nipples that crack every two years approximately under even casual use. Been there. The Performance Analysis Company servo on my 72 Imperial 4 door has been working fine for 10 years now. The most I ever got out of the original Chrysler servos was 2 years before they started leaking. Big difference!
