73 Imperial "McGoldy" to join the Minnesota herd.

Finally made it out of shop and closer to home.

If there is salt out on the road yet, I hope you washed the undercarriage down before storage.

I really love the color combination on that car. If it was a 2 door, it would be the perfect 73 Imperial in my eyes. Now it is just the best 4 door!
I'll bet those techs that worked on it just wanted to drive it for awhile and "making sure it was all good" was just an excuse. :steering:

Glad it went to the right nut case, you know, much like me. :)

I had to put her in on the end unit. So, woke up the gold Chebbie to move her into a middle unit. There isn't much wiggle room to get a 19 1/2 foot barge in between the rows.

I think I'll go back out today for a conjugal visit behind the fence and bars and shoot a video of McGoldy rolling in motion...

Got a small window in the day to sneak in a visit with McGoldy on the way back from travels on the road with the pups...windy and cool but she started and warmed up pretty quick. Shot a couple quick vids.

Nice job Doc! Glad you got her back and she's running real good!

That curious look in the mirror from one of your pups is priceless too!:poke:

They should look much alike. Elwood Engle was the chief designer at Ford when he was responsible for the superb 1961 Lincoln Continental that looks much like this Imperial, and began as chief stylist at Chrysler in late 1961. He really started fuselage design and enhanced it at Chrysler starting with the 1969 models IMO.

The 1961 Continental was a shocking breakthrough in styling (remember the 1961 Imperial at that time - forward look had run its course) and the fuselage Imperials were still very contemporary at the time.

Hey Doc! Absolutely the loveliest Imperial! Uncommon color combo makes it.

Looking at the car it looks a little low in the front or a bit high in the rear. Did they do any suspension work on her?

Sorry Javier, but I must disagree. As great as McNugget looks, and I'm happy for Doc, personally I think Old Red, has a much better stance and more vibrant color combo. But I'm jaded:poke::rofl:

Hoping to get Old Red and McGoldy together around Thanksgiving or so for a photoshoot...weather permitting.
