Yes, and cars are supposed to be "Factory Correct" to pass California Smog Laws, especially in LA Country which is a Snog Check II area.

Can you get away with just making it look correct Scott? If so I have a Lean Burn computer and wiring harness that probably doesn't function but looks good.

What year do they begin enforcement/inspections?

Thanks Bob... seems lots of states still check from 75-76 up... I guess the catalyst is part of that decision...

I'm sure that car would run cleaner emissions with the Eddie....

How many could there possibly be? they need to let it go. Perhaps they should go check the emissions of a public bus

Im still a purist and keep it all by the numbers. I still have two AVS 4 barrels and a Holley 2 barrel that are still drinking fuel

Hell..... California restricted Formal sales when they were brand damn new! No Formal's could be sold in California with a 400 because the 400 didn't have a smog pump from the factory. You could buy a Formal with a 360 or a 440 with a smog pump and the mandatory N95 emission package only.

You wouldn't be saying that if your cars had Lean Burn in 1970-71. LOL!

Pa only goes back to 1990s and only if you have regular tags antiques 25 years have no inspection at all.
