I did get a ticket for doing 81 in a 70, with cars passing me. I put a check in an envelope with the ticket and a letter stopping short of telling the reader to use the funds as a donation for the Ferguson fund. A month later I got a letter telling me the money will be put towards bond and I must show up to court or hire a licensed Missouri attorney or write a letter declaring my guilt . If not I will have a warrant out there for my arrest.
My response was to do nothing, absolutely nothing. One year later my money was returned with a letter, case dismissed .......

I think this MAY be the one Boys!!! This one says "BUY ME".. Looking into shipping from CA to NY.. Any idea's on where to look for shipping companies? She's on EBay. 1973 Newport.
Stan.. Just a "Wise man's Input" what would you consider paying for this car? She's listing for $8500. I was thinking $6500 or $7000 ish.. Thoughts?

Hey Chris. I told Jerry you probably would. They decided against the car, so it's all moot, but thanks.
OK, so Jerry and his Boils, Mark, flew to AZ and looked at the car - the original one for this post. They walked away. Jerry said he wouldn't want to give the guy $2,500 for the car - lots of paint touch up in the interior, doesn't track straight down the road, and the owner seems to know... nothing about his car. And other issues.
Jerry asked about the missing lean-burn, "Ah man, my buddy and I tossed that ****. There's a lot of stuff we just tossed...." That's not really an answer.
It is a factory 400 car. Jerry took a picture of the fender tag, thinking you guys might want to see it.

By the way, to answer an earlier question, yes, this car was in Vegas. The seller told Jerry and Mark that. He also said, "Man, it's fast! I hit 115 while bringing it here from Vegas!" Another thing that turned them off....

He won't be able to tag it and drive in California. All post 1975 cars has to pass an emission inspection and test. A lot of the smog crap including the entire Lean Burn system appears to be long gone.

Are you allowed to only have to meet exhaust emission levels, or does it have to be met the way it was met back to that year. In other words, you don't have the original smog pump but you're spewing out levels that meet standards?
